Executive Coach
Kathleen Lynam brings extensive clinical, operational and executive level experience in both small and large healthcare organizations across the country to her role as Executive Coach at BLG, a HealthStream® Company.
In the six years Kathleen has been with BLG, she has served as lead coach to large healthcare systems in the southeast, urban hospitals in the Bronx and Queens New York and small community hospitals across the country. In this role she thrives on developing strong relationships with executive staff, physicians, leaders and frontline staff. Kathleen is committed to helping healthcare providers learn how to make changes within themselves so they can bring about the changes needed to create a Patient Centered Culture.
Prior to joining BLG, Kathleen was Vice President for EMPATH Consulting. She coached and mentored members of senior leadership teams, directors, managers and staff in adopting and implementing newly designed work flow processes to drive patient satisfaction scores in the emergency department and hospital.
Kathleen served for seven years as the Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nurse Executive at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York. She and her team introduced enterprise-wide programs resulting in excellence in quality and customer service awards. As CNO, Kathleen led the adoption and implementation of senior leader rounding, employee rounding and hourly patient rounding to improve physician, employee and patient satisfaction.

Kathleen began her career as a registered nurse at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ, where she had an 18 year journey from staff nurse to Vice President of Acute and Ambulatory Services. Kathleen was responsible for Emergency Department operations, Surgical Services, Radiology, Laboratory and Inpatient Services for the largest health care facility in New Jersey. In 2004, she received the Excellence in Nursing Award in New York. 

Kathleen has served as Adjunct Professor at William Paterson University School of Graduate Nursing, where she taught Nursing Administration, Nursing Leadership and Nurse Executive Finance courses to graduate students. She received her BSN from William Paterson University, her MPA from Fairleigh Dickenson University in Rutherford NJ, and she holds certification in Nursing Administration Advanced from the AANC.; and Green Belt Certification in Juran.
