Elisa Stewart serves BLG, a HealthStream® Company as a Patient Experience Coach, where she engages with hospitals and healthcare organizations across the country to achieve and sustain service and performance excellence. She teaches the best practices, tools and tactics that enhance the patient experience, and drive improvements across client’s balanced scorecards. Her clients experience measurable and sustainable results in patient satisfaction, CAHPS performance, and employee engagement. 

Before joining BLG, Elisa held progressively challenging positions in health care administration for nearly 30 years.  Most recently, she was owner of Strategic Stones consulting, and was employed by The Medical Center of Plano focusing on their journey to excellence.  She served as Chief Operating Officer of Sharp Healthcare/Sharp Mission Park Medical Centers, where she was the Model Developer for the launch of the Sharp Experience, an aggressive customer focused strategy which resulted in winning the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige Award in 2007.
Elisa’s approach and philosophy is best summarized in the phrase “it may be difficult, but it is not impossible!”.
She received an MBA, Health Administration, from Bryant University, and her undergraduate degree in Health Care Management from Providence College, both in Rhode Island.
