Jesus "Chuy" Ramirez currently serves as a Patient Experience Trainer for BLG. Chuy joined BLG, a HealthStream® Company team in 2014 as an expert speaker assisting healthcare organizations in improving the patient experience. Chuy is one of BLG’s most sought after speakers because of his relentless energy and ability to resonate with audiences of all levels, from executives to physicians to front line staff.

Previously, he served as Manager of People Development at Baptist Health Care (BHC), where he was responsible for leading the Employee Survey Core Team,  Consulting/Coaching for Leadership Development, Outlying Building Safety Committee, and managing the school Affiliation Agreement, student, and non-employee processes. He was a leading contributor to the Talent Management program as well as the Value Care and HCAHPS initiatives.

Chuy also served as a member of the Baptist University Sessions committee where he participated in the development of the curriculum and logistics of the Baptist Health Care’s national award winning leadership training sessions.

Chuy’s experience also includes 22 years of service in the United States Coast Guard. His consulting and coaching career began as an active duty member tasked with implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) and Career Resource Management (CRM) programs in the various offices. While in the Coast Guard he received the Navy/Coast
Guard Commendation Medal, Coast Guard Achievement Medal, Commandant's Letter of Commendation (6 times), and numerous Good Conduct Medals.

He has degrees from the University of West Florida and Excelsior College in Albany, NY. His memberships include the Hispanic Action Society (H.A.S.), the Futbol Club of Santa Rosa, and Baptist Health Care's Customer/Employee Loyalty, and Honoring Our Troops teams.
